About TACOS ON 20

Nestled quietly along the bustling stretch of US-20, there's a little gem that promises a quintessential taste of Mexico right in Michigan City. Say hello to TACOS ON 20, a vibrant spot that delivers both authenticity and zest in every bite. This place stands out amid the clamor of fast food chains with a menu that transports diners to the heart of Mexican cuisine.

Some places are known for their inventive takes on traditional dishes, but here, it's about celebrating the classics in all their glory. The array of tacos is awe-inspiring. Picture this: freshly grilled carne asada, tender and juicy, folded into warm corn tortillas and adorned with a sprinkle of cilantro and onions. The al pastor, bursting with flavors marinated to perfection, offers a delightful sweetness from the pineapple that's almost irresistible. For those who embrace spice, the chicken tinga is a fiery embrace that pairs brilliantly with their medium salsa.

It's not just about tacos. The enchiladas deserve a standing ovation, each bite oozing with melty cheese and a generous serving of red or green sauce. Vegetarian options delight as much as their meaty counterparts, with cheesy quesadillas and rich mushroom tacos making a strong case for skipping the carnivorous route. Oh, and let's not skip past the sides. The guacamole? Fresh, vibrant, and as smooth as it gets, this dip could make even tortilla chips taste like a five-star meal on their own.

Located at 429 US-20, TACOS ON 20 is much more than its humble exterior might suggest. The ambiance inside feels straight out of a vibrant cantina, complete with colorful murals and lively music. Families, friends, and solo diners can all find their corner in this cozy yet spirited environment. It's a place that promises a little escape—where every meal feels like a celebration.

Diners often rave about the service, a refreshing reminder of what good hospitality feels like. Reviews pour in, highlighting the swift and friendly staff, ever-ready to recommend specials or accommodate specific culinary preferences. There is no shortage of kind words when it comes to their commitment to delivering not just a meal, but a full-fledged experience.

In this culinary landscape where traditional often meets with fusion, TACOS ON 20 stands firm in its homage to authentic Mexican flavors. It's a must-visit for anyone craving not just a taste, but a slice of the vibrant culture that these dishes represent. Next time the craving for an authentic taco hits—or a dinner spot outfitted with genuine warmth is needed—it promises not to disappoint.

Went thier to try it out for lunch. Place was pretty clean and warm. Seems husband and wife run it. Easy to get to. Food was made quickly and fresh. Couldn't finish it all. They take all kinds of payments Apple, Google, Zelle and most cards (small charge for them). Tap swipe or cash (thier favorite). The have a drive threw thier. Seriously just walk it spend a min sitting on the chair and making sure your order is right. Only complaint is prices. Almost $15 for a burrito and coke ? Then when trying to order ever thing she had on her screen for checked for extra charges. I said just the $13 burrito. All the Mexican places I gone to never that much. Wish the price was a little better. Could have been smaller and would have been more then enough. Else split it with someone else. My typical lunches are $6-$10.

We ordered some tacos and burritos and OMG everything was super delicious 😋 Everything was well porportioned and reasonably priced with great flavor. You can get tex mex here or authentic mexican foods. Best of both worlds. We'll certainly be back again!

I ordered the steak taco dinner and it was amazing. Having traveled from far and was wanting a great place to dine, this Taco on 20 was the absolute great decision. I will definitely be returning when we drive through the area again and will recommend to others! Also, they stayed open after hours for a large party of people and went above and beyond for us.

Hands down the best churros I've had in a very long time, possibly ever. Tacos were so good. Meat was flavorful, tender, and juicy. Shells fried perfectly, and broth was one of the best. Small spot, but don't pass it up. Had strawberry and caramel churros, but I suggest them all. Quesabirria combo was a great deal. It's worth the stop, even if it isn't on your route, worth a detour!
